OOTD #6:Turnabout

My school had its turnabout dance this year. This is the outfit I wore:

Here is what the dress looked like on Etsy:

It has a simple look to the front and a deep v-back. The dress fit perfectly without any alterations. It was also not very expensive, which was a plus ($47). The dress was very flattering, and I loved the red color. It looks like the designer makes the same dress in a multitude of shades. All the stitching was well done. The only thing that worried me initially was the shipping. It came very quickly to the US - about a week and a half. I highly recommend this dress if you have a special occasion coming up. Just remember to place the order well ahead of the date.

The shoes I wore were from Victoria's Secret:

They are 5 1/2 inch strappy sandals with a 1/2 inch platform. I bought the all black pair. They were surprisingly comfy due to the elastic straps. The only thing that bothered me were the very tops of the zippers which dug in a little. A little bandaid fixed this for the dance. As you can tell in the photos, I am still considerable shorter than my date - even with these heels on! I am about 5 ' 1 " and he is roughly 6 ' 2 "
